A Week of Inquiry and Dialogue Inspired by the Work of Krishnamurti
15-22 August 2010
Bourg-St-Pierre, Valais, Switzerland
... self-knowledge comes into being when we are aware of ourselves in relationship, which shows what we are from moment to moment
J. Krishnamurti
If you:
• are interested in observing yourself and others and questioning your role and place in society
• are keen to engage with others sharing similar concerns
• enjoy walking in the beautiful Alpine mountains
Then you might want to join this week.
Krishnamurti
This time will revolve around the teaching of Krishnamurti (see www.kinfonet.org ) as in our view these deal with understanding the underlying causes of the challenges faced in our lives and in the world to-day.
A loose programme will be prepared but we encourage each participant to take an active role in suggesting topics of exploration and study.
Walks
It is our intention to create a space to get together away from the demands and stress of every day life. This week will take place in unspoiled nature, as we think that it is a conducive setting for our inquiries. Walks will be organized regularly and they will be tailored to people's ability and wishes.
The week
The atmosphere of the get-together will be informal. We attempt to offer a balanced program with videos, questions brought by the participants, dialogues, walks and time for enjoyment.
You will be accommodated in a Swiss style village house or in a chalet (double rooms) nearby surrounded by the un-spoilt beauty of the Alps. All meals (vegetarian) are included and will be prepared and enjoyed together.
As we are expecting an international group, the main language spoken will be English.
Price: Sw.Fr. 400.-- (250 Euro) This includes all activities, accommodation, breakfast and dinner.
